A sudden serious health disorder can lead to death in a short time if no immediate countermeasures are taken. The chance of survival depends not only on the cause, but above all on the help that is provided: the «immediate life-saving measures».

Our courses enable everyone to take competent first aid measures in emergency situations – with certificates at all training levels.

First Aider Level 1: first aid for everyone

Certification

At the end of the course, graduates receive a certificate according to IVR and SRC in operational emergency aid level 1.


Validity

The certificate is valid for 24 months from the last day of the course. To extend the validity, the training requirement must be fulfilled with a refresher or advanced course within this period. See also our course system: ifa course system.


Cancellations

Cancellations are possible up to 10 days before the start of the course, otherwise the course will be invoiced. If there are too few registrations, the course may be canceled at short notice. After registering, you will receive a confirmation, which also serves as an invitation.

Prerequisite for participation

You have a valid «First Aider Level 1 IVR» certificate. This means that the last certificate must not be older than 2 years.


Certification

At the end of the course, graduates receive a refresher certificate in accordance with IVR and SRC in level 1 emergency first aid, provided that they have completed the course in full.


Validity

The certificate is valid for 24 months from the last day of the course. To extend the validity, the training requirement must be fulfilled with a refresher or advanced course within this period. See also our course system: ifa course system.

People who want to expand their knowledge and skills in first aid in everyday life and in preventive measures

BLS-AED-SRC: correct behavior in emergencies

BLS-AED special courses: for your specific needs

The ifa also offers emergency aid courses tailored to the specific needs of your organization.

The courses can last from one hour to several days. They can be certified according to IVR or SRC, depending on the subject matter. And they can be held either at the ifa's premises or at your location.

Goal

Participants are familiar with basic life support (BLS) including automatic defibrillation (AED). They

  • raise the alert correctly
  • pay attention to their own safety when providing assistance
  • apply the basic skills of resuscitation, chest compressions, artificial respiration and defibrillation using an AED, using training models of adults and children
  • recognize the typical characteristics of cardiac arrest, heart attack and stroke and know how to prevent them
  • carry out correct positioning of unconscious persons
  • explain the measures to be taken if the airway is obstructed by foreign bodies
  • implement BLS measures in specific, target group-oriented case scenarios
  • deal with their own motivation to provide assistance
  • describe how to deal with inhibiting factors in first aid

Hydrofluoric acid/chemical training

The ifa also offers emergency aid courses that deal specifically with the dangers of hydrofluoric acid and other chemicals.

The duration of the course depends on the specific needs and can be held either at the ifa's premises or at your location. At the end of the course, graduates receive a confirmation of participation.

The course teaches the correct behavior in emergencies, especially accidents involving chemicals. Participants will be able to take immediate life-saving measures to bridge the gap until medical professionals can take over.
